Sunday, March 14, 1-4 PM - MAPLE SUGARING PARTY
Family fun to celebrate the end of winter and the peak of the maple sugaring season, when the warming daytime temperatures encourage the sap to flow. Featured events include depictions of Native American and Colonial style sugaring sites, candy and ice cream making, and live music. For discounted rate, register and pre-pay by Thursday, March 11. Early registration rates: Members-$4, Non-members-$8. Day of event rates: Members-$6, Non-members $10 per person.
Sunday, March 21, 2 PM – ODD CREATURES OF THE DEEP
Slippery, Slimy, Scaly Animals of the Hudson River—Travel to the bottom of the Hudson River and back with Brittany Burgio, GNC’s Living Collections Assistant. Brittany, who previously worked for the Hudson River Research Reserve, which studies the health of the Hudson River, will show off some interesting live animals found right next door in the Hudson - slippery eels, clawing crabs, fantastic fish - as well as mystery creatures that might be found in your own backyard. Come see, and touch, these amazing critters. Members-$2, Non-members-$6 per person.
