2016 SUMMER CAMPS*

Our camps allow kids to connect with the natural world via age-specific activities that encourage the spirit of discovery. Each session includes extensive exploration and creative play and incorporates conservation and sustainability practices.

Forest Adventures (for campers entering Kindergarten - 3rd grade)

  • Tuesday July 5 – Friday July 8 (Four Days Only) 9:30am–12:30pm FULL
  • Monday August 8 – Friday August 12 (Five-Day Camp) 9:30am–12:30pm FULL
  • Monday August 15 – Friday August 19 9:30am–12:30pm FULL
  • Monday August 22 – Friday August 26 9:30am–12:30pm FULL

Campers may stay for lunch from 12:30pm–1:30pm for an additional fee.

Campers explore the roles of naturalists and biologists as they discover fascinating facts about the forest, its diverse habitats and the variety of animals that call it home. Campers learn about tracking, shelter building and invertebrate sampling. Each day includes animal interaction, crafts and an array of nature-themed activities.
July session is $200 per week + $85 membership fee. Additional lunch hour is $80 per week. August sessions are $250 per week + $85 membership fee. Additional hour is $100 per week.

Nature Ninjas (for campers entering 4th and 5th grades)

  • Monday July 11 – Friday July 15, 10am–4:30pm BOOK NOW

Kids go behind the scenes of the Nature Center as they meet and care for the rescued and rehabilitated animals that live on the grounds. They learn about animal behavior and husbandry techniques as they spend time with our birds of prey, reptiles and farm animals. Campers also explore our fields and trails, with engaging activities focused on developing fundamental survival skills.
Fee per session: $360 per child + $85 membership fee

Nature Quest (for campers entering 6th and 7th grades)

  • Monday July 18 – Friday July 22, 10am – 4:30pm BOOK NOW
  • Monday August 1 – Friday August 5, 10am – 4:30pm BOOK NOW

Campers learn about wilderness survival as they explore our 33 acres of varied terrain and participate in exercises such as fire building, shelter construction, animal tracking and plant identification. Activities foster leadership and critical thinking skills. Campers will also spend time interacting with the Nature Center’s diverse animal population.
Fee per session: $360 per child + $85 membership fee

Additional Information
Snacks are included in all camp sessions. Children may bring lunch from home or order in advance from California Pizza Kitchen. Catered lunch is $35 / week.

Camp Refund Policy:
For cancellations made 30 days or more in advance of the program start date, a full refund minus 25% will be issued. For cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the start of the program, there are no refunds. Cost of GNC membership is not refundable.
