Greenburgh Nature Center Launches New Website
After months of design work and technical revisions, the Greenburgh Nature Center (“GNC”) has launched an improved and updated website, www.greenburghnaturecenter.org.
“We know that our website is an important conduit for communication with our many stakeholders – visitors, teachers, supporters, volunteers. We took the time to create a site that we feel reflects who we are, both in content and style,” said Executive Director Kurt Hundgen.
Thanks to the generous support of Edgemont residents Harold and Bette Burson, all site renovation and design work has been provided pro-bono by Proof Digital Media, a newly created digital marketing and communications firm that is part of the leading global communications consultancy Burson-Marsteller.
“The Bursons have been instrumental in helping the GNC to examine its public message, particularly regarding issues of conservation and sustainability,” said GNC Board Member Margaret Goldberg. “The new website reflects this broader reach.”
The new site allows visitors to get in-depth information about the Center’s public programs, exhibits, and conservation and research initiatives. It also allows site visitors to pay for membership online. An Image Gallery and “Living Green” tips help connect site visitors to the special natural character of the Center and its mission to promote appreciation of nature and the environment.
The Greenburgh Nature Center is a not-for-profit corporation that operates programs and exhibits on a 33-acre "oasis of greenspace" that is part of the Town of Greenburgh's park system. The Center is located on Dromore Road, just off Central Avenue in Scarsdale, NY. Grounds are open daily from dawn to dusk throughout the year. Indoor exhibits are open daily except Fridays and a few holidays from 9:30 to 4:30 on weekdays and 10:00 to 4:30 on weekends. Parking is free, and handicapped parking is available.
