Birthday Parties For Members Only

The Greenburgh Nature Center (GNC) offers birthday parties that provide a fun, “hands-on” learning experience for children ages 3 and older. NEW (starting in June): all parties will be eco-friendly. The choice of themes includes Animals (year-round, all ages), Pond (spring only, ages 8+), Cidering (fall only, ages 5+), Winter Birds (winter only, ages 6+), and Scavenger Hunt (spring, summer, and fall, ages 6+). Party held at the GNC or in your home (indoors only). Parties held at the GNC include use of the Nature's Discovery Playground before or after the party. Booking Information

Membership must be active on the date of the party. Parties must be paid in full to reserve a date. 50% of party fees are refundable if cancellation occurs at least 2 weeks prior to the scheduled program (no refunds thereafter). Membership fees are nonrefundable. BOOK NOW!

Birthday Party Availability

Monday through Thursday - 1pm-6pm. The last time slot begins at 4pm.
Saturdays and Sundays - 11am-1pm and 2-4pm. Weekend bookings tend to fill up quickly, so please book well in advance.

Birthday Party Guidelines

Privacy & Nature Center Access
If you choose to have your party at the GNC, the party room is closed to the public during your program. Siblings who are not guests of your party, as well as parents who do not wish to remain for the duration of the party, may tour our grounds or visit our live animal museum (fee required). All children must be accompanied by an adult when visiting other areas of the GNC.

Supplies & Decoration
We provide and set up tables and chairs, and ask that you provide all party supplies (food, drinks, tablecloths, plates, cups, and silverware, as needed). Please note that the GNC kindly requests that you use environmentally-friendly items that have minimal packaging and, if possible, are made of recycled or recyclable materials. Please clear any decoration plans with the GNC staff. Due to the presence of animals at the GNC we request noisemakers not be used. All piñata activities are held outdoors. Food must be prepared in advance, or may be delivered. There is no cooking on site. A refrigerator and freezer is available for your convenience.

Set-Up & Parking
On the day of your party you may come in to set up a half an hour in advance. There is ample free parking in our Visitors parking lot. The party hosts may unload supplies at the back of the main building and may park in the employee area or loading zone for the duration of the party.
