Travel back in time to discover the history of maple sugaring! Let that sugary sweet aroma draw you into the sugar shack where you’ll watch live evaporation demos and learn how maple syrup is made. Taste sap tapped straight from our own trees and learn all about the process of making maple syrup and the history of that sweet, sticky substance.

After learning about modern sap collecting methods, step back in time to discover how maple syrup was first discovered. Watch authentic sap boiling demonstrations at our Native American sites. Then, make your way over to our Colonial site and learn how access to metal helped create the maple syrup we know and love today.
