Greenburgh Nature Center offers seasonal and year-round pre-K through 12th grade environmental education programs. In addition to our in-person outreach programs, the Nature Center is now offering virtual programs. Each program (virtual or in-person) is designed to enrich and support the New York State curriculum. Students engage in an experiential learning environment and are challenged to utilize their critical thinking skills. Best of all, these programs are memorable and fun!
Virtual Animal Programs
Greenburgh Nature now offers our most popular program virtually! Our expert Naturalists will lead a 45-minute program where children will learn about some of our animals as they eat and play on-camera. Each program will also have a Q&A segment at the end of each animal presentation to engage your child’s curiosity. Virtual programs may cover topics such as: nocturnal animals, hibernation, and predator/prey relationships. If you’re interested in a virtual program, but don’t see a topic you’re interested in, don’t hesitate to call and inquire about creating a specialized program for your class.
Duration: Approx. 1 hour (We allow time at the beginning of each program to address any technical difficulties, followed by a 45 minute presentation)
Cost: $150 per class
Greenburgh Nature Center also offers educational programs about sustainability and conservation. We nurture the future stewards of the earth to care for our planet in an exciting, educational setting. Your students can integrate sustainability into their curriculum by creating a Schoolyard Habitat, an Edible Schoolyard, or by becoming a Zero-Waste School!
