Job Description
The Greenburgh Nature Center is seeking a qualified college-level intern to work on internal and external sustainability efforts for the Spring-Summer season.
Responsibilities:
- Develop educational materials related to green business practices and sustainability
- Assist with communications, including presentations, website and/or social media content
- Represent the Nature Center and Sustainability Department at various community and tabling events such as farmers markets and town meetings
- Assist in maintaining green operations, including:
- Conducting waste audits, maintenance of compost stations, greenhouse and organic garden
- Teach sustainability programming throughout the summer camp season
- Support sustainability team in additional initiatives when necessary
Schedule and Compensation:
- Hours per week: 15-20 hours per week, flexible hours ranging from Monday – Sunday 9am-5pm
- Duration: Internship opportunity available Spring-Summer 2019
- March-September (with option for extension)
- Internship is unpaid; can be used for class credit
